After being named White
House director of communications on Friday, Wall Street financier
Anthony Scaramucci has wasted no time getting comfortable. Taking a
page from Donald Trump’s Apprentice playbook, the Mooch told
reporters on Tuesday that he plans to end the deluge of leaks
emanating from the West Wing by axing anyone saying anything to the
press. “I’m going to fire everybody,” Scaramucci said outside
the White House. “You’re either going to stop leaking or you’re
going to be fired.” The first victim was assistant press secretary
Michael Short, who Scaramucci, amazingly, told Politico he planned to
fire during a morning meeting but who resigned before Scaramucci
could make it official. Naturally, the Mooch then proceeded to lash
out at the press for reporting a story for which he himself was
the source.
