Donald Trump’s company ‘pursued deal to develop Trump Tower in Moscow’
DONALD Trump’s company
was reportedly pursuing a plan to develop a massive Trump Tower in
Moscow while he ran for the US presidency, according to sources.
Citing several people
familiar with the proposal and new records reviewed by Trump
Organization lawyers, The Washington Post reports Trump’s company
went after the plan in late 2015 and early 2016 as he faced off with
Hillary Clinton to become commander-in-chief.
As part of the
discussions, a Russian-born real estate developer allegedly urged
Trump to come to Moscow to tout the proposal and suggested he could
get Russian President Vladimir Putin to say “great things” about
Trump, The Post reported based on information from several people who
were briefed on his correspondence.
